Annual Gathering

Each spring those interested in Shaker history gather together for a meal, short business meeting, and presentations by Shaker scholars.


 

  • Catered luncheon with homemade desserts and salads
  • Raffle of homemade, antique, and other Shaker related items
  • Guest speakers on Shaker and Restoration related topics
  • 2027 event date is to be determined.
  • Reservations are required

Social Events

The Friends of the White Water Shakers hold several events each year. 

  • Open Houses - Allow people limited access to the buildings and grounds. This lets visitors see the progress that is being made in preparing the village to open to the public.

Occasional workshops or demonstrations are held to teach Shaker ideals of craftsmanship.

Directions to White Water Village



From Cincinnati:

*Take I-74 W to the Dry Fork Rd. exit (Exit 3). Turn right on Dry Fork Rd. In approximately a mile, at the traffic circle, take the 2nd exit and stay on Dry Fork Rd. In 1.3 miles, bear right at the stop sign onto New Haven Rd. At the three-way stop, turn left onto Oxford Rd. In approximately two miles, arrive at White Water Shaker Village on the left (11813 Oxford Rd.)


Take I-74 W to the New Haven Rd. exit (Exit 1). Turn right onto New Haven Rd. In approximately 3.5 miles, turn left onto Oxford Rd. at the three-way stop. In approximately two miles, arrive at White Water Shaker Village on the left (11813 Oxford Rd.)



From Indianapolis:

Take I-74 E to the New Haven Rd. exit (Exit 1). Turn left onto New Haven Rd. In approximately 3.5 miles, turn left onto Oxford Rd. at the three-way stop. In approximately two miles, arrive at White Water Shaker Village on the left (11813 Oxford Rd.)

* During the Fall of 2026, the Dry Fork Rd. exits will be closed. Please use the New Haven  Rd. Exit.
