About Us

Our founders first met in 2001 to discuss what we could do to save this gem of Ohio's Shaker heritage. Since that meeting we have grown to about 230 members, and in 2007 took control of the North Family's eight acres and eleven historic buildings through a lease from the Hamilton County Park District
- We are an Ohio non-profit corporation with IRS 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status
- Our 15-member elected Board of Directors conducts the organization's business
- We have developed a master plan to open the site to the public
- We are restoring the 1827 Shaker meeting house
- We present educational programs about the Shakers to school and library audiences
- We are looking for grant sources to improve our educational programs and assist in creating historical publications
- We need White Water Shaker manuscripts, letters, historic photographs, artifacts and furnishings to help us define and interpret White Water Shaker history
