You can be a part of our network of supporters helping us toward our goal of restoring these Shaker buildings and preparing this site to be open to the public.

  • Assist in educating the public about the Village through lectures, displays or in-school programs for children.
  • Serve on a team researching the history of the White Water Shakers.
  • Help us locate manuscripts, photos, and artifacts for our Shaker museum.
  • Become involved in the restoration effort; volunteers, from the inexperienced to licensed electricians and plumbers, are needed to continue progress.
  • Join Western Shaker Singers. A group of singers dedicated to keeping original Shaker music alive.
  • Adopt a Shaker building through volunteer labor.
  • Assist in fund-raising, to further restoration and site development.

Donate Services

Show off your skills while helping a good cause. Don't have any special skills? Come anyway and we'll teach you. 

  • Electricians - The buildings and grounds will be wired to code before opening to the public.
  • Construction - Several upcoming projects will require people skilled in the construction trades.
  • Gardeners - A Shaker type garden is under way. It requires a lot of work to keep it weed free and growing well. 
  • Educators - Help setup and refine our Community Outreach and Educational programs.
  • Public relations - Help with Grant writing and advertising.
